DIY Tutorial: Quilt Bunting

Today, I would like to share another tutorial from one of my favorites, Ashley of Ashley Ann Photography {Blog: Under the Sycamore}. She is not only a fabulous crafter but also a wonderful photographer! For this tutorial, search in your craft closets or drawers for some fabric scraps. If you don't have any, head on over to your local craft or sewing store for some colorful quilting pieces. I think I might have to dig out my sewing machine, probably covered with dust, and try this adorable DIY project. Don't you think?





From Ashley... I found a bag of cut quilting pieces for $1.00. I loved the fabric, but had no plan on how I’d use them. Previously, I made garden flags out of some of them. Next I thought I would make a quilt with them, but after talking to my grandma I realized the pieces were cut for a Double Wedding Ring quilt which is far beyond my sewing abilities. So…they’ve been stuck in a bag waiting for a new life. Now they are nearly 4 yards of cute bunting.

Materials Needed: 
Fabric pieces in a mix of patterns and colors
1/2 inch bias tape
