DIY Tutorial: Paint Swatch Chandlier

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

My heart goes pitter patter for this do-it-yourself chandelier -- a perfect addition to your baby shower decor and/or a present for the baby nursery. Created by Rhi of Hey Gorgeous (an oh-so-gorgeous blog) and beautifully photographed by Jenna McKenzie Photography, this tutorial is a keeper! Head on down to your local hardware store and start swiping some paint swatches. FYI... you'll need a lot!

From Rhi... I have to admit guys, that ‘borrowing’ the paint swatches for this little project wasn’t the easiest thing to do. I may have ran, yeah like actually ran, out of Lowes the third time I took a trip there to make sure I had enough coloured swatches for my chandelier (to the staff at Lowes, I am entirely sorry for stealing all but one of the Pink Shell paint swatches). But in the end I think my theif-ery was well worth it because this little ombre paint chip chandelier turned out so sweet. Big thanks to Jenna for taking the pretty pictures of everything for me.

Materials Needed:

Lots of Paint Swatches
Scallop Paper Punch
Lamp Shade
Exacto Knife
Metal Scissors
