Real Baby Shower: Rustic Green & Orange

Originally seen on Pizzazzerie {Your Guide to Entertaining Inspiration}, this baby shower, designed by the one-and-only Ruby & Willow (& Magnolia Rouge), is so stunning & elegant. I am head-over-heels in love with the continuing design and rich color palette seen throughout the invitations,  flowers and various sweets. And, thank goodness Greta Kenyon from Vela Images was there to capture every last detail of this whimsical shower. Each photo is more beautiful than the next!

This beautiful and whimsical baby shower was styled by Kate Holland from Magnolia Rouge (recently named as one of the top 100 wedding blogs in the world) and she also owns and runs Ruby & Willow. The delightfully, detailed sweet treats and cakes were made by Judit from Artisan Cakes who's creations look more like pieces of art rather than edible goods - but I can confirm they are indeed edible and delicious! I sampled far too many after the shoot.

Baby Shower Idea: Rustic Pink & Green

I found these photos on flickr and think you'll agree that I just had to include them in today's baby shower ideas.  How cute is this tree branch garland and flowered cake & rustic stand? Love them. There are only these few images from Laura of Bootsie King, but it is still enough to give some amazing inspiration for my smitten readers! From Laura... So here are a couple pics from my daughter Willa's first birthday. I used this pattern from spool for the birds. The cake was by a childhood friend who owns Christine's cake box and they are as yummy as they are beautiful. My hubby put the cake stand together for me from this tutorial.

Baby Shower Idea: Pink & Green Garden

Another original party concept and design from Tammi & Bec of RubyJu... If you haven't already seen their previous feature, "Let's Go Camping," -- please take a look -- It's a MUST SEE. I completely adore the white trees with pink apple cookies! Cute. Cute. Cute. And the ruffled cake is stunning as the centerpiece for this dessert table. Love this new trend!!  Pink & Green... you just can't go wrong with that color combo. This is such a sweet baby shower idea.











From Tammi & Bec... As promised, we are back to share some photos of Milia's party. Our colour pallet for Milia's 2nd Birthday party was pale pinks and greens. We also wanted to incorpoarte a garden theme with flowers and trees but still keeping it girly and pretty. Also a big thanks to Amy Atlas who featured Milia's party on her blog. We are so honoured!

Real Baby Shower: Baby Knut

What a gorgeous baby shower all the way from Norway! Such adorable invitations from Lilypad Lane
(of course... another etsy shop) with matching garland and cupcake toppers. Love how Maggie, the genius behind the lens, got inspiration from The Party Dress for her darling mimosa bar -- wouldn't it be nice to have one right now. :) Its so nice sharing ideas from all the wonderful blogs out there!

From Maggie... On Sunday, June 19, I held a very low-key baby shower to celebrate the birth of Knut Baerheim, my friend Birte's first boy. Norwegians are not familiar with the baby shower custom, but new mothers often host friends and family in their own homes just after the baby is born. I wanted to have this party for Birte so that our friends could meet, have a drink, and celebrate on neutral ground. The shower was completely influenced by Birte's taste, from the color theme of blues and browns, to the handmade tissue pomanders and flowers (Maggie Hayden); invitations, chalkboard tea-light dessert signs, banners, cupcake toppers (Lilypad Lane); and various other graphic touches (Molly Freameau, independent graphic designer).

I served sweet treats and drinks (Mimosa Bar inspired by Party Dress). All of the desserts were based on Birte's favorite flavor combinations -- cappuccino fudge cheesecake; mint chocolate bars; peanut butter cups; lemon bars; individual pavlovas with mixed berries, sweetened vanilla whipped cream and raspberry coulis; vanilla sugar "K" cookies; and carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese coconut icing. Knut is Birte's second child and she already had many baby items in her home. We asked guests to bring a book for Knut's library. The party was a great success!
