DIY Tutorial: Burlap Flower

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Remember this "Our Precious Gift" baby shower, from Spaceships and Laser Beams, which I featured a couple of months ago? Darling. Right? Well... I found this tutorial on Amy Atlas on how to make the burlap flowers seen in the background, and I just had to share. Enjoy!

From Stephanie... Using the marker, freehand draw five petal flowers of varying sizes on the burlap. You’ll want to have flowers in three approximate sizes: small, medium and large. You will need these three sizes for every burlap flower you make. To create a free-flowing, handmade feel, vary the sizes of the flowers.

Materials Needed:
Thin black marker
Pinking shears (you can use ordinary scissors if you don’t have pinking shears).
