Real Baby Shower: G is for Gentry

On to another week... and to another pretty, very girly, baby shower. Adore this color palette -- pink, black and white -- especially since its the same as my little girl's bedroom. If I don't say so myself... excellent taste!!! Loving all the famous quotes -- such a wonderful touch to all of the different stations. And speaking of stations... let's focus a sec on the food stations... Everything looks del.icio.us! Kudos to everyone involved, including The Dove’s Nest, Debbie Stoutimore, and Icing, Edible Work of Art.




















From Brittany... The shower took place on a beautiful spring day in April. My in-law’s have a lush backyard, which provided the perfect backdrop for the shower location. The colors of the shower represented the colors from Gentry’s baby nursery, and some accessories from her room were incorporated into the shower décor. These photos were taken by my dear, super talented, friend, Betsy Tanner, who was also one of the shower hostesses. The food was catered by one of my very favorite places, The Dove’s Nest, in Waxahachie, TX. The desserts/ snacks were made, again, by my super talented friend, Betsy. Another close friend (and former caterer), Debbie Stoutimore, contributed the amazing chocolate-covered strawberries. The cupcakes were a last minute addition, as the planned bakery couldn’t fill the order. Icing, Edible Work of Art out of Red Oak, TX, came in in a pinch and provided the delicious cupcakes that looked as good as they tasted! Since this was our second baby, just a few close friends and family attended the shower. It was the perfect, intimate day!
