Real Baby Shower: Sewing Theme

This is a first. That is... a first sewing themed baby shower! I adore how Casey Baudoin of Paper + Twine took her sister's love of sewing and turned it into such an adorable theme. So thoughtful!  Check out these invitations -- each individually wrapped in fabric pouches with a little "you are invited" tag pinned for closure. Super CUTE! From Casey... I am on pins + needles, in anticipation of my niece, due in October... at least that is what the invitation to my sister's sewing themed baby shower says. Saturday we threw my sis her shower, and it was a hit!! My sister, Morgan, is mildly obsessed with sewing, (I can hear her many times sewing away while I talk to her on the phone) so I knew she would appreciate and love a sewing themed baby shower. I got to use my flag bunting I made as decoration! There were old spools on the table, fabric streamers hanging from the balloons, little fabric flags in the cupcakes, and a cute little bird swing with some birdies I made, for decoration for the shower, and so Morgan can hang in the nursery. The mom to be got to wear a fabric corsage, and we all had fun sewing little ruffles, and buttons and bows on onesies for my niece. And in true Morgan fashion, she made us hostesses some hanging kitchen towels. --Perfect gift for a sewing party, don't you think? Go on over and see more pictures on Morgan's blog!
