Let's start with a new DIY tutorial I shot yesterday. I wish I could take all the credit, but fortunately, I get to share the credit with my husband. He is OBSESSED with magnets and came up with the idea. And... I, of course, added the pinwheel on top -- thanks to this great tutorial from Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh. This is just one possibility though. You could use a mini pom pom, a flower, a bow, etc. for the embellishment. Your guests will be smitten with these out-of-box name tags!

Materials list:
5" square patterned or colored craft paper (preferably double-sided)
Card stock paper for nametags
Brads (I used silver with clear gemstones from Michaels)
Magnets
Ribbon
Scissors
Screw punchHot glue gun
Cup
Kraft knife
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Cut the pinwheel paper into 5" squares
2. Cut from each corner a little more than half way toward the center of the square
3. Make small holes with your screw punch on every other corner (4 total) as well as the center
4. Bring the corners that you punched to the middle and secure with the brad
5. Attach a magnet to the bottom of the pinwheel with your hot glue gun
6. Print the names on card stock and cut them out (size will depend on cup size)
7. Cut slits above and below name for the ribbon to slide through
8. Attach a magnet to the ribbon with your hot glue gun and cut the ribbon accordingly
9. Bring the magnets together so the ribbon is floating within the cup
Note: Make sure to attach the magnet's attracting sides to both the pinwheel and ribbon.
