Real Baby Shower: Twins, How Tweet It Is {Part2}

Friday, June 24, 2011

On to the second half of this CRAZY GORGEOUS baby shower... I absolutely adore this table set up -- with the one long table, hanging lanterns, alternating ribbons on the chairs, lovely place settings and flowers. STUNNING! Suzanne from SHE PAPERIE + design boutique can really throw a party and Jeanna from Jeanna Hayes Studios has captured this without a doubt. Hope you enjoyed this shower as much as I have. Enjoy the weekend (hopefully its a sunny one for you too) and see you first thing Monday morning.

From Suzanne... The dinner portion of the evening was also really wonderful. As a surprise to me, the main men in my life (my husband, my father, my brother, etc.) acted as our waiters for the evening and served up a delicious fare. The food included...
1. a Giada De Laurentiis pasta (recipe found here)
2. individually made Parmesan Cheese cups that “nested” a fresh mixed green salad (recipe for the cups found here)
3. garlic stuffed mushrooms, Caprese salad skewers, and Italian meatballs
4. for drinks we had “Oh So Precious Pink Punch,” “Lullabye Limeade,” and “Baby Bliss Citrus Punch”

5. and the best part was the deliciously adorable chocolate bundt cakes that had spun sugar nests on top of each and every one (so darling!)

More of my favorite design elements and DIY projects include...
1. The most gorgeously designed table tops that I’ve ever seen complete with beautiful linens, fabric table runners with a beaded trim (made with fabric from the Heather Bailey collection), wild branches that were gathered from nature with tiny blooms glued onto them, hand cut slices of wood that had small arrangements placed atop, crystal pedestal stands which held a tiny nest, a fresh garden rose, and feathers in each one
2. The beyond adorable place cards that were crafted by using small peat cups, moss, Jelly Bellies, and wood paper for each name to be written on
3. Custom designed and printed water bottle labels, menus, game cards and other stationery pieces
4. Handmade fabric napkin rings
