From Suzanne... The day that my twin babies were showered with love and well wishes was a day that dreams are made of. It was a celebration of life, of love, of family, and of friendship and one that I will always hold close to my heart. My amazing friends and sister who hosted the event were so thoughtful in allowing me to be a part of the entire creative and design process, which made the occasion even that much more special to me. After all, I’m a girl who loves a pretty party!

We merged my love for birdies, feathers and frills into a “woodland chic” motif that was suitable for celebrating both a baby girl and baby boy. The amazingly talented Jeanna of Jeanna Hayes Studios photographed the event and did a wonderful job capturing all of the beautiful details, clever DIY projects, and special touches. Some of my favorite design elements and DIY projects include...

1. The beautiful invitations adorned with 2 crystals “eggs” on the front to tie in what we referred to our babies as - “The Diamonds”
2. The hand crafted wreaths that hung on the front doors (such a warm welcome for guests!)
3. The Wishing Tree (accompanied by a custom made feather pen) that served as a guest book

4. The favor, guests went home with “Sweet Tweets” (cookie mix in a jar) inspired by the ever talented Bakerella herself!

And, as a final surprise, my hostesses presented me with special nest necklace with 2 tiny pearl eggs in it to wear that evening. That sentimental touch was just over the top and certainly touched my heart.
(necklace can be found on this Etsy store)

As you can see, so much thought and love went into celebrating such a special time in my life. I will always treasure the memory.
