Baby Shower Idea: April Showers Party

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Crossing the Bugger-Dixon Line put together the cutest April Showers Birthday Party, which I thought would also make the perfect baby shower theme! With help from two of my favorite bloggers and party experts, Pirates & Princesses and Pen n' Paperflowers, her party was a major success. I love this FABULOUS dessert bar and all it's fun details -- complete with boot and cloud cookies and umbrella cupcake toppers. For even more fabulous ideas be sure to check out these photos from Crossing the Bugger-Dixon Line. And... I'll be back later today with another "April Showers" idea post. :)

From Crossing the Bugger-Dixon Line... It rained, it poured, and the crazy wind knocked our fence down 15 minutes before the party started! Regardless, the April Showers birthday went on inside. I have so many fun pictures to show you.

It was a fantastic party and everyone had a great time! The BEST compliment of the day came from my biggest bugger who has told us that he now wants the same exact party for his June birthday!

Special thanks to my dear friend Becky and Mrs. C for letting me raid your homes for rain gear, My mother-in-law for making the cupcakes and my sister-in-laws who made food, Heather from Pirates & Princesses who made so many of the party goodies possible for me, & to Jessica from Pen n' Paperflowers for squeeeezing me into your packed schedule and being so wonderful to work with!

Love all your ideas. So adorable.
I love the cloud straws and raindrops backdrop. I wish I had seen these when we threw the april showers baby shower for our friend. Here is a link to what we did at the party.
