From Mekala... While designing the shower, it was important to the hosts that the mother-to-be feel absolutely appreciated. She's willing to drop anything to help someone in need, and this was the opportunity to thank her. In her honor, many of the materials were branded with the initial "C." Being that her last name is "Champagne," we created a clever label on champagne bottles which mimic her personality: sweet, bubbly, and right-on-the-money!

The invitations were printed on shimmery paper and mailed in luxurious silver envelopes affixed with custom labels. Here at Tie That Binds, we specialize in styling paper details beyond the invitations. For this shower those details consisted of signage, favor bags, bunting, bingo card designs, champagne labels, drink stirrers, baby announcements, and mini mustaches!

The food was to match the decor, so we selected foods colored green and pink- like cucumber sandwiches and shrimp salad. For the chex mix, we rolled doilies and taped them at the bottom. Then we cut circles in the top of a wallpapered box and created a beautiful way to display them. For the favors, mini doughnuts were made alongside bowls of sprinkles and powdered sugar. The kids at the shower LOVED dipping their doughnuts, or of course, eating them just as they were. At the beverage bar, we simply printed the round design onto stickers and used them wherever they were needed- including on the champagne bottles, drink cups, and coffee stir sticks.

The flowers were a day-of local purchase. We arranged them in antique tins and apothecary jars. The carnations were also great and affordable additions to the look of the main table.

Since they are traditional at showers, we played a few games! The "secret word" game was a hit- if you said Courtney's name during the shower, the consequence was posing for humiliating mustache pictures. We also played baby lingo bingo and used little smarties to mark the words thathad been called.

In the front of the house, we wrapped candy cane Christmas decorations with white streamers and used them to mark the path to the door. The tissue poufs were a DIY project made from tissue paper, and the chalkboard is a reclaimed painting created by the crafters at Tie That Binds!

In the end, it w
as a wonderful gathering to honor a wonderful friend, and celebrate the new addition to her family!
