From Courtney Barnes of Style Court... Talented lifestyle photographer Liz Banfield graciously sent over some pictures taken at a baby shower honoring Charleston-based event planner, Tara Guerard. Southern Accents covered the luncheon in their recent March-April issue.
One of the most appealing aspects of living in the South is our lush landscape, and the option to create temporary outdoor rooms under a canopy of old live oaks. Held in a garden along the Southern marsh, the decidedly un-fussy affair was slightly sweet but not cloying.
Invitations featured a polka-dot giraffe, a zebra print, and shades of yellow and blue―colors and motifs found in the nursery. Place cards displayed each guest's name, along with its pronunciation and meaning. Giraffe rattles looked adorable slipped onto napkins. Party favors included custom cookies shaped like onesies, bottles, and giraffes. Whimsical circles in shades of blue carried the polka-dot theme onto the cake.
