Real Baby Shower: Pink Princess

Friday, April 15, 2011

There are a plenty of ideas to steal from this darling baby shower designed by XOXO BRIDE. The white parasols decorated with colored dots and the white crib used to store and display all the gifts are just a couple of my favorite pieces! And... that tutu lamp from Posh Tots is totally PRECIOUS! I think I might have to buy one for my little girl. Gorgeously photographed by Katie Moos {she was also part of Bump Smitten's opening baby shower -- Shutters on the Beach}, this shower is completely unforgettable!

From Sonia Hopkins... XOXO BRIDE plans an unforgettable shower for XOXO BABY! We planned and designed her wedding one year ago (see blog post for Spanish Hills wedding) and now... we planned and designed her adorable princess baby shower. Our "Gift Lounge" swayed in the breeze with white paper parasols spotted with polka dots and suspended from the outdoor trellis alongside pink and white paper lanterns. Baby furniture filled the lounge complete with crib, rocking chair, area rug, side table, and no baby girl's room is complete without a Tutu Lamp from Posh Tots. Satin ribbon with crystals hung from white umbrellas to shade the guests. Tables were beautifully draped by La Tavola Linen. Cupcakes were the Mother-To-Be's wishes for sweet treats. Oreo Cookie and Strawberry cupcakes provided by Crush Cakes. Little crystal bowls sat nearby with displays of chocolate covered strawberries, sour apple candies, and chocolate covered almonds. There was no lack of sweets at this party! Ribbon wrapped glass vases with full and bright blooms were provided by Kerstin Olson Horneman of Blue Magnolia. A big thank you to Katie Moos, for capturing all the adorable details of the day. She is such a joy to work with and her talent never seems to end. The Mother-To-Be enjoyed being showered by friends and loved ones.

Special Notes: Kelly's mother hand dipped the strawberries herself the night before. We used a collection of Kelly's mother's dishes and trays for the arrangement of sweets and deserts. I bought paper parasols and used an ink stamp to dot them with multi-colored poka dots, then hung them with fishing wire from the outdoor trellis along with paper lanterns for texture.
