Shower Idea: Vintage Wallpaper Inspiration

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Where do you get your inspiration from?  Elizabeth and I love to get it from other bloggers -- especially when they include detailed photos from a photoshoot, DIY tutorial, or party they put together.  It's when we can sneak a little glimpse into their world -- see what they like and maybe even connect with them.  And, when we spotted this vintage wallpaper inspiration post by Jillian from 100 Layer Cake, it was like she was reading our minds!  As you know we have a huge soft spot in our hearts for florals and patterns  -- but the beauty of today's inspiration goes beyond just pretty printed flower patterns.  This gallery of dreamy photographs show us a fairly inexpensive way to weave prints, textures, and colors into a baby shower and come out with a perfectly girly theme at the end.  I mean, using vintage wallpaper for your invitations, table runners, flowers, and name tag settings (::swoon::) -- these are sounding like the perfect makings for a lovely "sip and see" tea party baby shower!  (Elizabeth and I are just dreaming of the mouth-watering finger desserts that we would serve.  Let's just say macaroons would definitely be on our list)!  So, enjoy today's little bit of inspiration -- and if you're feeling every bit as smitten about these photographs as we are, be sure to get all the details of this photoshoot from Jillian's post found on 100 Layer Cake  or Project Wedding.  :)
