Real Baby Shower: Baby Giraffes

Maybe we're having a hard time letting go of summer, but Elizabeth and I can't get enough of citrus colors (especially when paired with gray)! We love it -- and this color combo has not only infiltrated our blog, but it's also starting to sneak it's way into my condo. (Let's just say I may have purchased some pale yellow curtains this weekend. They were just so happy looking -- how could I resist?!) So, when Carli sent us this cute-than-cute orange, yellow, and gray baby shower, it was a no brainer -- it had to be featured on our site, like pronto. Never mind that Sophie and other sweet little giraffes also made adorable appearances in Carli's photographs below (so stinkin' sweet)! Yes, we think Carli's shower is a lovely lesson on how to successfully sprinkle cute-sy elements throughout your party and balance them with simple modern details. Wouldn't you agree? :)

From Carli... A sweet repeat customer of mine contacted me a while back to do a custom design for a baby shower she was hosting. She needed invitations, favor tags, large return/mailing labels, place cards and a banner inspired by a polka dot giraffe onsies & toy (see the diaper cake) in a modern color scheme of gray, orange & yellow. I love how her shower turned out; a great mix of elegant with classic stripes, fun with polka dots and modern in color. The unexpected pairing of gray with the citrus colors turned out great!
