Real Baby Shower: Vintage Surf

If you were to google vintage cool, I'm pretty sure plenty of pictures from Molly's vintage surf baby shower would pop up. (And, if they don't, they should). Just think -- woody station wagons, longboard surfboards, mini-me board shorts, and red and light blue colors to add just the right amount of fun vintage flair.  Isn't this beginning to sound like the perfect little inspiration list for a pretty hip baby shower? Well, Kim from TomKat Studio added all of these elements into the invitation and paper goods that were used in this shower -- and we love it! (We're talking love-at-first-site-love-it)! This theme is so adorable you don't want it to end when the party's over -- which is probably why so many Moms (including Molly) are using their baby shower themes as inspirations for their little bundle of joy's nursery. Vintage Surf is a popular theme appearing in baby and kid rooms everywhere! Inspired by an old surfboard of her husband’s, Molly is decorating her soon-to-arrive son’s room in this hip theme. Her sister is planning her shower and asked me to design coordinating paper goods! This is a trend that we’re seeing more and more of in the party world. Coordinating baby shower decor to the baby room, and even the baby annoucements! Molly’s sister chose a blue, red & chocolate brown design that I came up with, featuring a “woody” illustration!

I custom designed the invitations and paper goods based on Ryder’s nursery.  Molly’s sister & friends did an amazing  job decorating for her adorable shower! They borrowed my candy jars and surf sign. They ordered custom cookie toppers from Two Sugar Babies after seeing them featured on my blog!
